We are dedicated to animal welfare and regularly arrange for schools and childrens clubs to visit for the day to promote our work and hopefully encourage our younger generation to follow in our footsteps.
We operate a micro chipping scheme and all our animals are micro chipped to ease reunification should they become lost. We now have quite a few trained microchip implanters who can microchip your pet for just 15.00 each. We have a scanner and all animals brought to us are immediately scanned to check for a micro chip and we have successfully reunited lost pets with their owners on numerous occasions.
Our funding comes solely from donations, and a lot of the work carried out by volunteers. However because the sanctuary has had to expand so much in recent years, just to keep up with the constant demand to shelter so many neglected and mistreated animals, it has become necessary to employ some staff to ensure constant care for the animals 365 days a year. These staff must be experienced in animal welfare, and like everyone else they need a wage, albeit small, to survive.
