Boxer Dog Rescue North England Top Rated Bookmark
Boxer Dog Rescue Northern England is Based in the North West of England, we are dedicated to helping all boxers in need and will take on boxers from any situation. Please visit our website for more information.
Boxer Dog Rescue North England was officially formed at the beginning of April 2007. We are run predominantley by 11 area co-ordinators, covering most areas in the north of England.

We rescue surrendered, homeless, stray & neglected boxers. Our aim is to facilitate the re-homing of boxers into loving forever homes. We do not do this for profit, politics or recognition, but simply  because we have a real devotion & passion for this wonderful breed.

We are entirely self-funded relying on our fundraising efforts and donations to help the boxers in our care.We rehome to most areas in the North of England, but also further afield, providing potential adopters will travel to us to meet the dogs.

As well as our main co-ordinators we also rely on help from many other volunteers who help us with homechecks, fostering, transporting etc. Without these volunteers we would not be able to run this rescue.

There seems to be a growing trend in breeding boxers for money and a number of these poor dogs have been offered for sale in pet shops, commercial kennels and "free add" papers. Because of this, many end up in rescue once they are past the cute puppy stage. We are ALWAYS inundated with dogs, we usually have approximately 20 dogs on our books.

We do not have our own kennels and rely on local private boarding kennels who help us by boarding our dogs, as these are a private kennels we also have to pay for EVERY day a dog spends in these kennels.

Our Aims are:

  • To successfully rehome all boxers that come into our care
  • To promote resonsible dog ownership
  • Provide veterinary treatment for boxers in need.
  • To neuter, vaccinate, microchip, worm & flea treat all dogs prior to rehoming
  • To provide lifetime support to all of our dogs & everyone who adopts from us
  • To assess each dog to determine the type of home it will need

Our hope is that through the use of our website we will be able to further raise awareness of the plight of unwanted boxers. Our goal is to have our own kennels where we can house urgent, sick and difficult dogs until new homes are found for them.

If you think you could offer one of our dogs a good home, please contact or apply to adopt by filling in our online form. If you cannot rehome a dog but would like to help, you could send a donation or assist with other fund raising activities.

All contact details can be found on the 'contact us' page of our website.

Even if you cannot physically help us, just by putting a poster up in your local vets/pet hops etc will help us promote the work that we do, in return will hopefully help more boxers find homes.

You can print a variety of posters from our 'Poster Page' of our website.

We recently teamed up with Bark Busters as we would like to be there to support everyone who adopts from us. If a dog rehomed through Boxer Dog Rescue North England shows signs of behavioural problems, then we now have the support of Bark Busters, who have trainers throughout areas of United Kingdom.
